DINING ON-BOARD
Offering the journey of a lifetime, TIM has splendid dining facilities – two fine dining restaurants that can accommodate all travellers, upto a maximum of 42 guests in each restaurant coach.
BAR AND LOUNGE
The on-board bar is stocked with a world-class collection of wines, beer and spirits. You can relax on the comfortable sofas and share your journey’s experiences with others over your favourite drink.
ON-ROAD LUXURY
The Indian Maharaja-Deccan Odyssey takes care to make your journey as comfortable and as royal as possible, all the way. There are luxury bus-liners for passengers travelling by the Deluxe Suite and cars for the Gold and Platinum Class passengers for on-road connectivity during sightseeing. All such travel modes are equipped with complimentary sightseeing kits such as bottle coolers, hats and other necessities.
BAGGAGE PORTERS
Baggage Porters are available while boarding on and alighting at stations wherever required.
BUTLERS
There is a butler for each coach to look after each guest in a highly personable manner. On call 24 hours, these butlers provide guests with whatever they need, in a speedy and efficient manner. They take pride in serving you, our guests, and ensure that your stay on-board is as comfortable as it is memorable.
PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PASSENGERS
Our railway carriages are unfortunately not designed to accommodate wheelchair-bound passengers. We strongly recommend that guests who are physically challenged, be accompanied by an able-bodied passenger or attendant. Even so, our valets are available at any moment to provide additional assistance. We request you to inform us, in advance, if you may have any special requirements while booking the journey.
OTHER FACILITIES
The Indian Maharaja-Deccan Odyssey undergoes periodic maintenance and stringent upkeep. For your knowledge, the train is powered with 110 Volts of electricity. It accommodates the use of international adaptors that you may carry along with you for the journey.
To rejuvenate yourself, there is also a spa where you can enjoy a steam bath, an Ayurvedic massage or a workout in the well-resourced gym.
VISITING PLACES OF INTEREST
Do carry with you a comfortable pair of shoes so that you can walk up to visit places of interest. We recommend a moderate degree of physical fitness to participate in some of our excursions by foot.
We again request you to inform us, in advance, if you may have any special requirements while booking the journey, especially if the guest is physically challenged. Do note that we reserve the right to refuse any such guest from participating in any of our excursions. In such cases, there would be no refund for any unused part of the tour.
TOUR GUIDES
While visiting places of interest, well-qualified guides will accompany you to make each visit that much more memorable. Alongside speaking English, guides also provide a bit of the local flavour, so that you get invaluable insights into the places of interest that you will visit.
We can arrange these guides at select journey stops, subject to availability and at an extra cost. If you would like a guide, do let us know at the time of booking.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
For on-board assistance, our staff has requisite first-aid training. Additionally, doctors can be contacted at various journey stops in the course of a medical eventuality. However, professional medical facilities are not available on board the train.
LAUNDRY
A limited laundry service is available at select destinations. Your carriage butler will be able to help you with your laundry needs.
INTERNET
Now you can stay connected to your work at all times. The train also hosts a business centre with Internet, PCs, a Printer, Fax and Telephones.
TELEPHONE CALLS
Each railway cabin has a telephone facility; the operator can assist you to make calls outside the country. Please note that the costs for calls made outside the country will be charged additionally.
ON-BOARD SAFE
All railway cabins are equipped with safety deposit lockers to safekeep your valuable items of a small nature. While every precaution is taken, we cannot be held liable for any valuables that you may lose during the journey.
